For years, I was trying to figure out how to make money online. I tried dropshipping, running a web agency, starting a marketing agency, day trading, pretty much everything you can think of. Instead of making money, I ended up digging myself into a deeper hole and found myself over $20,000 in debt. Eventually, I had no choice but to get another job.
I was frustrated with myself for letting things get that bad, but one thing I knew for sure was that I wasn’t going to give up. I had to find a way out, and I knew my job alone wasn’t going to get me there.
So I kept searching for ways to make money online, and that’s when I discovered digital products. What attracted me to digital products was the flexibility. I was working full-time, and by the time I got home, I was exhausted. I didn’t have the energy to constantly hop on sales calls or deal with clients all day like you do with agency work or web design. It was too time-consuming.
With digital products, you create something once and you can sell it over and over again. There were times I’d wake up to multiple sales, or come home from work and see that I’d made money while I was gone. That completely changed my perspective, and it’s the reason I decided to fully commit to digital products.
At first, I started binge-watching YouTube videos on how to create and sell digital products. I tried buying products with resale rights so I could resell them for profit, but honestly, that didn’t work out very well. Then I realized I should use knowledge I already had.
Since I’ve always known a lot about cars and mechanic work, I created my own digital product called “Drive Her.” Inside it was an ebook called “I’m Just a Girl,” designed to help women learn the basics about cars so they could avoid getting taken advantage of or scammed by mechanic shops.
That was the first time I ever made money online with digital products. In a little bit over a week, I made a little over $300. It might not sound like a lot to some people, but for me, it was all the proof I needed. It showed me that digital products could actually become a real source of income and finally free me from my debt.
From that point on, I stayed consistent, kept learning, and continued building. Since then, I’ve made thousands of dollars online and never looked back.
